I’m the writer, host, and executive producer of “My Friend Daisy,” an investigative miniseries about what happened when a group of teenagers took a murder investigation into their own hands. It’s about amateur sleuths, the limitations and failures of the criminal legal system, and the reasons why some communities are turning to social media to seek justice. Stream the trailer below, and listen to all ten episodes here — or, you know, wherever you get your podcasts.

In between helming long-form doc projects, I produce and host short features for KCRW, which are then syndicated nationally on NPR’s “Morning Edition” and “All Things Considered.” Recently, I reported on two different, unique communities adjusting to life after the catastrophic fires in Altadena and Pacific Palisades.

I previously served as a senior producer on the Ambie award-winning Wondery podcast Scamfluencers. Some of my favorite episodes delve into the intersection of pop culture, celebrity, and politics. Who gets busted for what, and at what cost?

I wrote the finale to the two-part series on Martha Stewart, for which I read dozens of magazine articles and court transcripts and watched a ton of bad reality shows and made-for-TV movies. It was pretty great. You can listen to it here. I also recommend every episode we’ve ever done on the Real Housewives (there are more than you might think), and one of my personal favorites, on Rod Blagojevich, the disgraced ex-governor of the state where I spent my early 20s and still miss very much, Illinois. Oh also, here’s a picture I found on Getty images of us winning an award one time in Las Vegas.

Before that, I was a story editor on Class Action, a producer on Underbelly: Brokers, Bagmen and Moles, and a contributor to KCRW’s Design & Architecture, where I produced features about the desert, displacement, and the changing landscape in Southern California. Some of my favorite pieces are this one about an art fair on the Salton Sea and this one about the revitalization of a veteran’s hall in Hollywood.
